Ram ram you have left me!!

So today I found a interesting problem one of our server had started doing the below:

That is ram free

I started looking in to the problem .. Task manager and process explorer showed nothing apart from the ram being eaten.. But no process with 18gb free in this sever it was really going up and down

This got me on the right track:

Ram map showed the below:

The windows security log was eating up all the ram in the server over and over again.. I checked the windows event log sec, and found that the log was set to 10gb limit .. I have set this back to the default 600064kb

and cleared the log.. everything happily when back to normal:
